Lee County's Development Activity Projects map now lists Daniels Creek, record DOS2023-00140, with the status "Permitting." The record describes a mixed-use planned development for 1,600 homes and up to 350,000 square feet of commercial space.
What's happening next door
Gateway Marketplace, at Daniels Parkway and SR 82, is listed as under construction (DOS2024-00142). The county records show:
- A 54,964 sq ft Publix with shops (DOS2025-00003)
- A Home Depot of about 107,500 sq ft plus a 28,100 sq ft garden center (DOS2024-00175)
- A newly filed McDonald's of about 3,860 sq ft with a double drive-thru (DOS2026-00028)
What we still don't know
Lennar has not released floor plans, prices, HOA or CDD fees, or a sales date for Daniels Creek. I'll post them here and send them to the list as soon as they're out.
